Colac hosts an International Day for People with a Disability
International Day of People with Disability is celebrated each year on the 3rd December. Bowls Victoria and Colac Bowls Club celebrate this day each year by hosting an Integrated Triples event.
Overlooking the lake, 12 teams of two bowlers with a disability and one bowler without a disability competed for the trophy. It was a perfect day out on the green and enjoyed by all players and spectators.
The winners were Ken Hanson (s), Maurie Oates and Steve Nelson. Runners up were Ben Peachey (s), Gerry Carton and Trevor Nelson.
A raffle was held to raise funds for the Colac Special School to purchase a bus. Thank you to everyone who supported this raffle, it was very much appreciated.
