Victoria vs South Australia Test Teams

by Sean O'Kane

Our Victorian Lightning & Thunder Sides, as well as our Under 18s have been selected for the first hit out of the new year, taking on South Australia in January.

The 5-Test Series will provide a battle with our southern-rival before a new revised calendar takes shape, with the prestigious Alley Shield moving from it’s usual timeslot in April, to now being played in October in 2020.

In addition to the Open Test Series, the Under 18s will also play their usual 5-Test Series against South Australia, with 5 Boys and 5 Girls selected for Victorian duties.

The Open Women will be looking to retain the Mulga Cup after a win at Moama in February and the Men will be aiming to return the Loy Carroll Trophy to Victoria.

The Under 18 Boys & Girls won their last test series with South Australia, victorious at City of Geelong BC back in January.

Both the Open & U18 Test Series against South Australia will be contested from the 14th – 16th of January at McLaren Vale Bowls Club, play begins from 1pm on Tuesday.
