Day 2 Wrap: Australian Schools Super Series

by

Perfect conditions greeted players on day two of the Australian Schools Super Series at Tweed Heads Bowls Club.

As the competition progressed into the final three sectional games, Victoria went into the second day with matches against NSW Green, NSW Red and NSW Blue in game five, followed by QLD B, NSW Red and NSW Green in game six, and QLD A, VIC B and VIC C in game seven before the commencement of side finals.

With standout performances by Akasha Fortune and Koby Cromie Victoria B was the best performing team at the end of day two. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite enough to claim a medal after narrowly missing out on a Bronze in the Sides Finals. NSW Combined High Schools Red took home Gold in the Sides Final.

Day three of the competition will get underway at 9:00 am tomorrow with the individual finals for singles, pairs, triples and fours all set to be contested.

Representing Victoria in the individual finals will be:

Victoria A playing for Gold in the Pairs.
