The biggest bowls event in Victoria is back!

If you love the great game of lawn bowls, register now and start preparing to compete for your club at the 2019 Victorian Open.

Widely regarded as Bowls Victoria’s premier event, the Victorian Open is a Bowls Australia Ranked Event and open to bowlers from around the world – including all bowlers affiliated with a State or Territory Association that is affiliated to Bowls Australia, or affiliated to an international body that is a member of World Bowls. With no requirement for pre-qualification, you’re invited to participate! Generously supported by the Greater Shepparton City Council, the Victorian Open returns for another eight days of competition and camaraderie across country Victoria this November.

Aside from the fact playing bowls is always an exciting prospect, the Victorian Open provides a unique opportunity for bowlers of every level to challenge themselves and their fellow competitors in a professional, fun and welcoming environment. Whether you’re a talented grassroots bowler or a top-grade champion, every bowler is encouraged to take part in Bowls Victoria’s marquee tournament.

Prize money for the Victorian Open exceeds $50,000. There are seven prestigious titles up for grabs, while the Vic Medal will be awarded to the best-performed bowler of the tournament.

ABOUT THE VIC MEDAL

At the Victorian Open each year, the Vic Medal is awarded to the player who accumulates the most amount points across the event’s four disciplines: Mixed Pairs, Pairs, Singles and Triples. The overall winner is calculated using a points system for the last 16 in each discipline.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

Victorian Open matches will take place at various venues across the Greater Shepparton region between 15-22 November 2019. Shepparton Park Bowls Club will be the headquarters, host club and finals venue for the tournament. The fully inclusive eventfeatures singles, pairs and triples for both men and women, as well as a mixed pairs competition.

Remember, you’ve got to be in it to win it! Entries for this year’s tournament are currently open. Anyone planning to compete needs to submit their online registration form as soon as possible. All registrations must be received by 4:30PM on 16 October 2019. Any late entries will be placed on a waiting list. Green fees are included as part of the entry fee.
