Jarryd Davies claims Junior Golden Nugget title
Essendon young gun Jarryd Davies has claimed the boys’ singles title at this year’s Junior Golden Nugget.
Davies met fellow Victorian Kyle Williams in the quarter-final where he secured a 21 to 9 victory to play through to the semi-finals and a win over Jake Rynne 21 to1. Davies went head-to-head with Kane Nelson in the grand final defeating the Queenslander 25 to 16.
Former Victorian Kira Burke took home the title for the girls after defeating Olivia Cartwright in the Semi-Final and Brittany Camp (NSW) in the Final. Cartwright was the best placed of the Victorian for the girls ending her Junior Golden Nugget campaign with a third-place finish.
