Matthew Ottobre announced as the Victorian Coach for Australian Schools Super Series

Matthew Ottobre has been announced as the Victorian Coach for the upcoming Australian Schools Super Series at Tweed Heads Bowls Club in September.

With close to 20 years of bowling experience, the Physical Education Teacher and Hawthorn Bowling Club Secretary will guide and mentor the Victorian team, with players to be selected this weekend at State Trials at The Dandenong Club.

After graduating with an Arts and Teaching degree, Ottobre has gone on to attain a Level 1 Coaching (Lawn Bowls) and Level 1 National Bowls Umpire certifications. He is also a decorated club champion with three Singles titles to his name.

The Australian Schools Super Series will be played at Tweed Heads Bowls Club from September 17-19, 2019. The Series is currently contested between Victoria, New South Wales CHS and Queensland.

The Victorian team will be made up of 15 students from across the state. Once the team is announced, information will be available here.
