Day 3 Wrap: Champion of State Pennant (Midweek)
It was another chilly day on the Riverina for the final day of Champion of State Pennant (Midweek).
The last round of sectional play wrapped up, with wins to City of Frankston (Peninsula Casey) who got over Yarrawonga MGCR (Ovens & Murray) 39-24, Shepparton Golf (Central Goulburn Murray) defeated Buninyong (Central Victoria) 54-40, and Korong Vale (Wimmera) won their game over Warrnambool City Memorial (West Coast) 51-38.
Altona (Metro) won their game against Swan Hill Racecourse (Murray Mallee) 64-18, City of Geelong (Geelong) beat Bendigo East (Bendigo Campaspe) 48-35, and Lakes Entrance (Gippsland) won their round over Leongatha (Strzelecki) 48-29.
The final came down to an undefeated Altona (Metro) and City of Frankston (Peninsula Casey), with the peninsular team taking the win 53-33. For all results this week, please click here.
