by Team BV

My Sport Live together with Anytime Fitness are both thrilled to continue the Anytime Fitness Club Grant funding program during the months of April, May and June, which will offer clubs the opportunity to livestream marquee events for free.

Throughout 2019, several Victorian sporting clubs have already been serviced through this new initiative that includes access to a pool of $30,000 worth of funding, and resulted in successfully streamed events across multiple online platforms.

The grant program was implemented to give clubs the opportunity to promote themselves, their events, their sport and their people across both their own community and the wider spectrum.

In February, the Ringwood & District Cricket Association had every ball of its’ Veterans 20-over Grand Final broadcast LIVE.

RDCA President Michael Finn, was stoked with the exposure the stream granted its players, sponsors and its benefits towards grass-roots sport.

“To have last months’ Grand Final captured live by My Sport Live was amazing for all those involved,” he said.

“Modern day technology is incredible, and it was tremendous to maximise the resources we have available to us and use it to further enhance the exposure of our cricket brand to the broader community.

“Sporting clubs are the hub of all local communities, they are the fabric that in many cases brings their communities together. We, along with local Anytime Fitness clubs, connected to collectively shine light on the overall health benefits of sport to our clubs and the communities they serve.”

Most recently in March, Victorian Junior Roller Derby (VJRD), supported by the Victorian Roller Derby League (VRDL), had its premier junior event ‘Victorian SLAMboree’ streamed LIVE, providing an opportunity previously financially unattainable for the league.

VRDL Juniors Coordinator, Tara Kennaway, spoke on the benefits the media coverage for the junior players and the broader roller derby community.

“The juniors were stoked to have their games livestreamed,” she said.

“The VJRD & VRDL can’t compliment enough the professionalism and high quality broadcast that My Sport Live and Anytime Fitness produced for our event.

“We are keen to continue our relationship with local Anytime Fitness clubs and further promote the benefits of how coverage of sport at all levels can positively influence physical activity, particularly amongst kids and teenagers.”
