Mildura set for All Abilities regional bowls festival
Bowls Victoria has joined forces with Bowls Sunraysia and Mallee Sports Assembly to host an All Abilities Regional Bowls festival in Mildura.
The event, which is open to schools and disability organisations across the region, will be hosted by the Mildura Workers Bowls Club on March 21.
Approximately 80 participants are expected from Specialist Schools and Disability Organisations. Leading up to the event training days will be held at the Workers Bowls Club on February 28, March 7 and March 14. The training days will provide the participants with specialist skills and coaching before the event. It will also help to determine which participants will play Jack Attack and who will play full bowls.
Mallee Sports Assembly is assisting with the coordination of the event through promotion to local agencies and schools. They will also oversee the event logistics, such as registrations, event setup, team management and playoffs during the day.
