Victoria set for final test
Moama Bowling Club turned on the charm for day two of the Interstate Test Series between Victoria and South Australia with both states enjoying victories.
The Victorian Lightening will go into Friday’s fifth test with four wins after defeating South Australia 69 to 43 in the third test and 69 to 42 in the fourth.
The morning’s play saw Carla Krizanic and Renata Callisto draw, while Lisa Phillips and Anne Draffen both defeated their Southern counterparts in Vicki Arbon and Laini McGorman. Phillips and Draffen continued their winning streak in the fourth test to help Victoria to a 69 to 42 victory.
It was a tough contest for the Victorian Thunder with South Australia defeating the Victorian men’s squad in the third test 57 to 59. Matthew Flapper the lone winner defeating Craig Mills 35 to 12 after loses to Barrie Lester and Nathan Wilson. Victoria fought back in the fourth test to defeat South Australia 62 to 45 after Lester, Wilson and Flapper all secured a win.
The fifth and final test will commence at 8:00 AM on February 22 at Moama Bowling Club. The match will be live-streamed on Bowls Victoria’s Facebook page thanks to Moama Bowls Club.
