Bowlers Arm State Championships set to roll at Armadale

by Team BV

The 2019 Victorian Bowlers Arm State Championships will roll into Armadale Bowls Club from January 9th to 11th, 2019.

The three days of competition will see Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Pairs and Women’s Pairs events contested. Women’s Pairs will be a knockout competition on the Friday, whilst all other competition will start with sectional play before reaching the final stage.

This open entry event in January welcomes all those Bowlers who play with a Bowlers Arm, from right around Victoria, and all that is required is a Bowlers Arm Permit. This event also acts as an identification for those looking to play in the Victorian Bowlers Arm Team, a team who has won 6-straight National Bowlers Arm Championships.

Last year the event was held at City of Frankston Bowls Club at the beginning of January, in a sizzling event both on and off the green, the following bowlers won each discipline and will be looking to defend titles in 2019:

  • Pam Wakeford & Carole Klop from Glen Waverley BC won the Women’s Pairs,
  • Ron Eckhardt & Rodney Fletcher from Cohuna Golf BC won the Men’s Pairs,
  • Kerry Ralph from Barooga BC won the Women’s Singles &
  • Michael Rose from Lilydale BC won the Men’s Singles

Men’s Singles will kick off proceedings at Armadale on January 9th at 8:30am, further information can be found on our Bowls Arm page and via the Fixture Links Below:
