EOI Para-Lawn Bowls Classification
Bowls Victoria is currently calling for expression of interest from bowlers who are seeking classification to play in Disability Bowls events.
To be eligible to compete in a Disability Bowls event, players must first receive a classification to be eligible to enter competitions such as the Integrated Pairs, Multi-Disabilities Championships and Bowlers with a Physical Disability Squad events. You may also have the opportunity to represent Victoria at the Multi-Bowls Nationals.
The two-step process to become classified is as follows:
- Have your Doctor complete the Certificate of Diagnosis form (you must bring this to the classification day, when these are announced).
- A classifier will assess your physical impairment as relevant to the requirements for playing Bowls. This includes playing an end or two of bowls. (you must bring your bowls and any equipment you use to assist you during a game e.g. walking stick, wheelchair etc).
There are currently no dates set for upcoming classification days. Dates will be set once expressions of interest have been received.
If you are interested in becoming classified, please send an expression of interest to Darci at Bowls Victoria on darcit@bowlsvic.org.au. Please ensure you include your full name, contact email address and phone number.
