Vics win Tassie Test
The French Holbrook Shield and the Valmai Lewis Shield are coming home to Victoria after Victoria’s men’s and women’s team were victorious in Tasmania.
In the fifth and final test, the women’s team continued their stellar form to take a five to nil win over their southern counterparts to end their campaign with a four-shot victory 46 to 42.
It was a tight tussle in the men’s section with both states going into the final day two all. In what was a nail-biting finish, the Victorians proved victorious after 63 ends to win by four shots 55 to 51.
Lisa Phillips was awarded player of the series while Barrie Lester received the Hopwood Medal.
