Dons Consolidate Top Spot
Essendon ventured out to Whittlesea on a beautiful Friday night to play before a healthy crowd on a 15 second track.
The Bombers, who were eager to undo the damage of their loss to Melbourne the week before, walked away with a full bucket of points.
Three Essendon rinks were locked in tight struggles all night before breaking away in the final ends. It was the Dons Brad Willoughby who had the peddle to the metal from the outset racing to a big lead over Ben Winther and ultimately winning by 13 shots.
Ryan Tainton continued his good form as a new Premier League Skipper after his seventh unbeaten outing, no doubt enjoying having Peter Loe playing as his number three. The Dons running out 32 shot winners 18-0.
