10 of Victoria’s best young bowlers, including Amity Bickley (Mulgrave Country Club), Kira Bourke (Ocean Grove), Olivia Cartwright (Kyabram), Sophie Kurzman (City Oval Ballarat), Lisa Trewarne (Sunbury), Tyson Cromie (Yarrawonga), Jarryd Davies (Essendon), Ethan Higgins (Gisborne & District Bowling Club), Jack Thompson (Moonee Valley) and Cooper Wescombe (Glenroy), took to the green at Capalaba Sports Club in Queensland to contest Australia’s premier Under-18s event.
 
After setting the pace early on day one and two, Victoria proudly claimed the Robert Middleton Overall State Champion team trophy and Overall Boys’ winners.
 
Defending Girls’ Singles Champion Kira Bourke secured a back-to-back victory, while Jarryd Davies was victorious in the Boys’ Singles and the Boys’ Pairs final with Tyson Cromie.

Victoria’s youngest starlet Amity Bickley lead the Girls’ Fours to silver, while Jack Thompson, Ethan Higgins and Cooper Wescombe took home bronze in the Boys’ Triples.
 
The Victorian squad will now head to their State Development Day at Moonee Valley Bowls Club on October 14.
