Bowlers with an Intellectual Disability, Physical Disability and Vision Impairment, came together at Deer Park Bowling Club this month for Bowls Victoria’s Multi-Disability Squad Day.

The day was a chance to play bowls with people from all disciplines (ID, PD, VI), meet other bowlers with a disability, and receive coaching from our state coaches.

The day was a huge success with over 40 attendees braved one of the coldest Melbourne days this winter to enjoy a fun, social and inclusive day of bowling.

More Disability training sessions are scheduled this year. You can find these on the Bowls Victoria event calendar.

Bowls Victoria is committed to providing opportunities for people of All Abilities to participate in our sport; this includes making our sport more accessible to people with disabilities.

With the support of several disability organisations, Bowls Victoria continues to educate the broader bowls community about how to be more inclusive of people with disabilities by providing accessible environments so all players, from grassroots to the elite, can participate in bowls.
