School Holiday Program a hit in Bendigo

by Team BV

Over 20 kids descended on Bendigo East Bowls Club this month for their inaugural school holiday program. Over 20 kids descended on Bendigo East Bowls Club this month for their inaugural school holiday program.

After putting the call out to run a kid-friendly program during the July school holidays, the response the club received was terrific.

The program, which ran across three days and was open to three-year-olds and up, included games on the greens, face painting and a sausage sizzle.

The club’s group of dedicated volunteers ensured the program ran smoothly and was enjoyed by all. The club also produced participation awards, which all kids received post event.

Connecting with local schools and kinders is a great way to grow the game and Bowls Victoria encourages participation initiatives, like school holiday programs, that not only promote your club to the community but also the sport of bowls.
