New club recognition awards for 2018
Bowls Victoria is pleased to introduce two new awards in 2018 – the All Abilities Club of the Year Award and the Junior Club of the Year Award. All Abilities Club of the Year Award
Bowls is an inclusive sport that anyone can play. This is reflected at both club and state level competition where bowlers with a physical or intellectual disability represent Victoria.
The All Abilities Club of the Year Award recognises clubs who, in the past 12-months, have made a significant effort in attracting bowlers with a disability by engaging and encouraging community disability groups to play bowls.
To nominate a club for the All Abilities Club of the Year Award, a club representative must complete and submit the required Nomination Form to Bowls Victoria by COB on August 24, 2018.
Clubs will need to provide information about the all abilities activities or events your club has held over the past 12-months, and how the club has contributed to the development and inclusion of bowlers with a disability.
The top three clubs will be invited to the Bowls Victoria Annual General Meeting in October and presented with the 2018 All Abilities Club of the Year Award.

Junior Club of the Year Award
Junior Bowlers are the future of our sport. Together with their achievements on the green, juniors are our future coaches, administrators, umpires and promoters of our game.
The Junior Club of the Year Award is designed to recognise a Bowls Victoria Club who has made an outstanding contribution to juniors playing the sport in their area in the past 12 months.
The award acknowledges exceptional delivery of fun, social, educational and team-focused introductory experiences that give juniors the best possible entry into bowls.
Clubs will need to provide information about the activities and events they have held for juniors, and how they have contributed to the development of junior bowlers.
To nominate a club for the The Junior Club of the Year Award, a club representative must complete and submit the required Nomination Form to Bowls Victoria by COB on August 24, 2018.
The top three clubs will be invited to the Bowls Victoria Annual General Meeting in October and presented with the 2018 Junior Club of the Year Award.
