2018 MultiBowl National Championships

Sunday saw the commencement of Disability Sports Australia‘s 2018 Multibowl National Championships in Perth, Western Australia at the Kardinya Bowling Club.
Forty-eight competitors from six states, over six days, vyed for the National Titles.

Congratulations to our Victorian Physical Disability Bowls Team who travelled to Kardinya Bowls Club in Western Australia to compete in the 2018 Multi Bowl Nationals.

The team was very successful over the six days of competition, Victoria collected 3 x gold medals, 3 silver medal and 1 bronze medal.

Clover/Lester Encouragement Award (Teams were asked to nominate a bowler who is relatively new to the sport at a National level and who set a good example at all times on and off the greens, displayed good sportsmanship, encouraged others and has the potential to become a good bowler. This year’s recipient has overcome great adversity, rediscovered lawn bowls, became Club Champion and won her first Multibowl game in 2018. The 2018 Clover/Lester Encouragement Award recipient is Lyn Hamblin from Victoria)

Graham Golley Memorial Award (For achievement in the true spirit of Lawn Bowls at International Competition. DSA, as the governing body for multi-disability lawn bowls in Australia, in consultation with Bowls Australia and the Bowls Australia National Head Coach, unanimously award the Graham Golley Memorial Award to the 2018 Commonwealth Games Gold Medal Men’s Triple’s Team consisting of Bonnell / Hanson / Thornton)
