Vic Country vs Vic Metro Championships

by Sean O'Kane

The Vic Country vs Vic Metro Championships for Bowlers with an Intellectual Disability were held on Saturday 19th May, at Sebastopol Bowling Club.
Congratulations to Vic Country who defeated Vic Metro, 33 points to 15. There were three draws over the day and many other close games.
The bowlers enjoyed a day competing under the roof at Sebastopol in front of a large crowd. Many of these bowlers recently participated at the Multi-Disabilities Championships in April and will be heading up to the Gold Coast at the start of June for the Australian Open.
Thank you to Rob Baker and the rest of the volunteers at the Sebastopol Bowling Club for hosting the event and cooking a sausage sizzle for the competitors. We’d also like to thank the markers, who were in awe of the talent these bowlers had, for volunteering their time. Congratulations to all bowlers for being selected to represent Victoria.
