Head Coach wanted for Richmond Union Bowls Club

by Team BV

The Tigers are on the hunt for a new Head Coach.
The Richmond Union Bowling Club is looking for a Head Coach for the 2018/19 season and beyond to help take the club’s players to the next level.
RUBC is seeking a coach who can deliver a strong coaching philosophy that is all inclusive, regardless of a bowler’s ability.
Any appointed coach will be required to deliver coaching programs for all the club’s bowlers and undertake at least two coaching sessions per week during pennant and pre-season, usually on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. They will also be required to work with the club’s selectors in a bid to increase member participation in practice sessions.
It is also expected the appointed coach will have played bowls to at least division one level and be available for Saturday pennant for the season.
The successful applicant will also oversee the development of a junior program.
All applicants should be natural leaders and have Bowls Australia-approved coaching accreditation (or currently be in the process of gaining); prior experience as a head coach would be an advantage.
RUBC prides itself on being an inclusive, diverse and family-friendly club that is open to all bowlers regardless of ability, age and experience.
The club has some of the best greens in Victoria and is home to about 100 active bowlers who compete across five Saturday pennant sides ranging from division one to seven. The club also has a mid-week pennant side that recently gained promotion to division two.
Remuneration package will be based on the level of commitment and experience.
Applications, including relevant experience and accreditation materials with the names of two referees, can be sent to Richmond Union Bowling Club’s President Sarah Howard at sarah@rubc.com.au
Successful candidates will be contacted for the next stage. Applications close Friday May 4th 2018.
