Victorians at the 2018 Commonwealth Games

by Team BV

Victorian bowls fans have plenty to cheer at the Commonwealth Games tournament kicking off on April 5 at the Gold Coast.

Four current Victorian representatives – Carla Krizanic, Barrie Lester, Josh Thornton and Ken Hanson – will represent Australia at the prestigious event across men’s, women’s and para-sport competitions.

Recently-departed Victorian Aaron Wilson, now with NSW club Cabramatta but who played this season in Victoria with Premier Division club Clayton, is also part of the Australian Jackaroos team.

Victorian-based Ali Forsyth and Kelly McKerihen (both Clayton) will also be competing at the Games for New Zealand and Canada respectively.

And there are also 13 Victorian International Technical Officials as part of the 42-strong team officiating in the lawn bowls competition.

Bowls will take place at Broadbeach Bowls Club from April 5-13 and if you aren’t heading north, you’ll be able to watch competition live on the Seven Network and their 7CommGames app.

Seven will broadcast the Games exclusively on its main channel as well its subsidiaries in 7Two (Channel 72) and 7Mate (Channel 73).

However, the 7CommGames app will be broadcasting up to 16 live streams of sports at any one time, including bowls.

You can download the app for FREE from both the Google Play and Apple store, while there is also a website version of the application for desktop and laptop users.

The 7CommGames app is also being offered on Fetch TV and Apple TV as well.

There is also a premium version of the app ($24.99) which will give you access to HD content, fewer advertisements, exclusive premium content and connect up to eight devices.
