Results from Victorian Bowlers Arm tournaments in 2017-18:
 
Dromana Arm Event
 
In excellent conditions with 22 teams and almost full greens Dromana turned on a great day for 66 players using a Bowlers Arm.
 

A great effort by Dromana BC Armer Graeme Hegarty who ran the day.

Warragul Arm Event
Winners: Daryl White, Graham Peck, Phil Gude (Skip). — Dromana

Battle of the Arms Singles – City of Frankston
Winner: John Bulmer (Drouin)
2nd place: Cecil Moss (City of Echuca)

Burden Park Bowlers Arm Tournament

Burden Park’s inaugural Bowlers Arm event was held on a fine day with 48 players and teams attending from as far away as Whittlesea and Cockatoo. The format was 3 games of 12 ends in the 2 bowl triples format and played in a competitive and friendly spirit.
 
Winners: Wayne Frazer, Margaret Beechey and Ken Freestone (Burden Park)

Runners-Up: David Bernard, Herbert Lobel and Leon Cohen (Armadale)
 
Best Game Winners:
1st Game: Joint winners – Anita Clapperton, Margaret Holcombe and Jim Blight. (Burden Park)
                                        – Gwen Fabris, Peter Dixon, Gerry Carlton (composite)
 
2nd Game: Graeme Avery, D. Simmons and Colin Dale, (Karingal)

After this successful day, Burden Park is looking forward to hosting the event again in the 2018 season.
 
 
Armadale Super Bowlers Arm Tournament

Armadale’s annual Super Bowlers Arm tournament was another great day of bowls, with the weather not so kind at the start but finishing on a sunny afternoon. 

Eighteen teams entered – an increase on the 12 teams in 2016. 

The first prize was presented to Ray Palstra, Bruce MacDonald and Max Addison by David Southwick MP, as well as the perpetual plaque he donated which will have the winners name’s inscribed on as the 2017 winners. 

All other winners were presented their awards by Martin Jones & Kirby Leitch, the representatives of the major sponsor Regis Aged Care.

The high standard of morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea was enjoyed by all but maybe not the waistline. 

Great feedback by all players which will ensure bigger numbers next year. 

 

 
Swan Hill Bowling Arm Classic

Mooroopna 
Mooroopna has again staged another outstanding Bowlers Arm Event, with 12 teams competing.
Winners: Vern Rehe, A Jones & G Johnson (Moama)
Runners-up: R Anset, Gino Scapin & Chris Preddy (Kyabram)
Whilst numbers were not as hoped the players enjoyed their outing and the Club hopes to build the numbers further next year. Special thanks to Arthur Drust for his work in creating the event
