2018 Ted King Memorial
The annual Ted King Memorial junior tournament for 2018 was held at Strathmerton BC in January with the participating juniors battling the tough conditions in great spirit.
With temperatures soaring to above 40 degrees on the Saturday, conditions of play were altered with reduced end games for an early finish.
The competitors ranged in age from nine to 17, with two selected teams entered from the Under 18 State squad for competition practice and development.
Spectators were impressed with the standard of bowling, and the high degree of sportsmanship and teamwork shown by competitors.
Both the winners and runners-up showed their experience as under 18 State representative players, rising to the top of the field early in the competition.
Organisers would like to thank Moama Bowling Club for their generous sponsorship, and the Strathmerton Bowling Club for their amazing hospitality.
