Can you help Kilmore BC’s quest for history?
Kilmore Bowls Club is starting to plan celebrations for its 100th birthday in late 2019, and is trying to find out more about its history from past members and those who may have had something to do with the club in the past.
The club is seeking photos involving bowlers or the club from the past that people may have, especially relatives or friends of past members, which they would like to copy. People may also be able to provide the club with any official positions held or trophies won by past members to fill in the gaps in their history.
Phil Skehan from Kilmore BC says: “Kilmore, like most country towns had Bank Managers, Post Office and railway personnel just to name a few that were involved for various periods of time before moving on. Hopefully their families may have kept items of interest to them and thus would be to our club.”
Contact with anything of interest on Kilmore Bowls Club’s history can be sent to Phil via email at philip40s@westnet.com.au, or by post to 2 Hamilton Street, Kilmore, Victoria, 3764 or by phone 03 5782 1240 or 0408 360 497.
