Four Victorians in Commonwealth Games team
Victorians Barrie Lester, Carla Krizanic, Josh Thornton and Ken Hanson have been named in Australia’s Commonwealth Games bowls team named for the 2018 event at the Gold Coast.
Last season’s nationally-ranked No.1 bowlers Lester (Mulgrave Country Club) and Krizanic (Sunbury) will be part of the Australian open team.
Hanson (City Bowls Club Colac) and Thornton (East Shepparton) will be part of the Australian Para-Sport team.
Bendigo-raised Aaron Wilson, now playing for NSW club Cabramatta, was also included in the Jackaroos squad.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games will be held from April 4 to 15 at the Gold Coast.
