Waverley Christian College win through
In the first ever Year 7 and 8 Rally Day conducted with the Christian Schools Event Network (CSEN), Waverley Christian College has claimed victory and an entry into the 2017 Victorian Schools Super Series on November 25.
Fourteen teams across four schools participated in the event held at Dandenong Club Bowls Club.
Waverley Christian College, St Andrew’s Christian College, Maranatha Christian School and Belgrave Heights Christian School had never bowled before, and warmed to the sport straight away – some students bowling right next to the jack on their first ever competitive bowl, and one team scoring 5 shots on their first ever end!
Throughout the three rounds, we had two games which finished in a draw, a team who scored 16 shots (in 5 ends) and all teams making use of their ‘Power Play’ end.
The winning school was decided over three rounds of competition, and four teams remained undefeated at the end of the competition (one team with two draws)!
