Bowls Victoria Board Election Results 2017
In accordance with the requirements of the Bowls Victoria Constitution under Rule 18 (f), the votes cast by Clubs for the 2017 Election of Board Directors were counted on Tuesday, 26 September 2017.
Votes were received from 273 Clubs, a 53% response from Clubs eligible to vote.
Votes from 268 Clubs were cast formally in the Female Elected Director election with votes from four Clubs deemed to be informal. One respondent did not include a female voting paper.
Votes from 269 Clubs were cast formally in the Male Elected Director election with votes from four Clubs deemed to be informal.
For the two female Elected Board Director positions available at this election, three nominations were received from Lyn Baker (Yarra Glen BC), Louise Morison (Sunbury BC) & Marilla Rootsey (Murrumbeena BC).
For the election of two female Elected Board Directors the votes recorded as per positions on the ballot paper were:
Lyn Baker (Yarra Glen BC) 209 votes
Louise Morison (Sunbury BC) 151 votes
Marilla Rootsey (Murrumbeena BC) 176 votes
Lyn Baker (continuing) and Marilla Rootsey (continuing) are therefore declared elected and continuing after the Bowls Victoria Annual General Meeting to be held on Wednesday 18 October 2017.

For the two male Elected Board Director positions available at this election, four nominations were received from Peter Inglis (Simpson BC), Kevin Pattison (Brighton BC), Robert Blachford (Essendon BC) & John Inglese (Richmond Union BC).
For the election of two male Elected Board Directors the votes recorded as per positions on the ballot paper were:
Peter Inglis (Simpson BC) 153 votes
Kevin Pattison (Brighton BC) 91 votes
Robert Blachford (Essendon BC) 142 votes
John Inglese (Richmond Union BC) 152 votes
Peter Inglis (newly elected) and John Inglese (continuing) are therefore declared elected or continuing, effective following the Bowls Victoria Annual General Meeting to be held on Wednesday 18 October 2017.
Many thanks to unsuccessful candidate Kevin Pattison for re-nominating and rendering his outstanding service to the Bowls Victoria Board during his term as a Bowls Victoria Elected Board Director.
Kevin has been a key driver of the Competitive Participation Sub-Committee as its Chairman, leading the discussion for change and moving the sport in to new areas of participation
