Vale Don Sherman

Long-time Victorian and Australian bowls representative Don Sherman has died following a short battle with illness.
He was 82.
Sherman, from Bendigo, was a Commonwealth Games gold medallist in 1982, winning the men’s fours in Brisbane.
He played more than 300 times for Victoria and spent the vast majority of his bowls career playing for South Bendigo Bowls Club. 
Sherman was also the sport’s national coach/manager from 1996 to 1999.
