2017 State Multi-Disabilities Pairs final

by Team BV

Josh Barry (Sebastopol) and Lucas Protopapas (Mulgrave Country Club) are the 2017 Victorian pairs champions for bowlers with a physical disability.
They defeated Aaron Emonson (Ballarat) and Ross Higgins (Shepparton Park) 10-8 in their final held in May after the finals of the State Multi-Disability Championships were washed out in April.
After a tight start, Barry and Protopapas took control mid-match – picking up four shots to skip out to a 6-1 lead, then all of a sudden it was 10-2.
Higgins and Emonson came back, picking up the last six shots of the match, but unfortunately it was too little too late.
Higgins was also runner-up in the State Singles to Ken Hanson.
All four bowlers are now bound for the Multi-Bowl Nationals at Raymond Terrace BC in New South Wales from May 21 to 26 as part of the Victorian team.
