Vic v SA U18 Test – Day 3

by Team BV

Victoria’s Under 18 girls have wrapped up their Test series against South Australia as champions.
The Victorian girls – Mikayla Long, Emma Simmonds, Natasha Russell, Kira Bourke and Lisa Trewarne – ran out 2-1 winners in the best-of-three 2017 series at Sunbury Bowling Club, losing their final Test on Day 3 after having secured series victory on Day 2.
After shots up came into play to determine the second Test, they were needed again in the third Test which was level at two matches all, with SA winning on shots up.
In the boys, South Australia wrapped up a 3-0 series clean-sweep over Victoria – playing high quality bowls on all three days against a Victorian side featuring three debutants in Max Rowley (inglewood), Kyle Kraus (Mulgrave CC) and Brad Pavey (Leopold Sportsman’s).
The South Australians won 4-0 on matches in the third Test, with big wins in the singles and fours.
