Bowls Victoria Arm Coaching kicks off for 2016-17

by Team BV

The first of a series of 2016-17 Arm Coaching days will occur at Preston Reservoir BC  on Sunday, December 11 at 10AM.
This is a unique day as it will also enable players who may be interested in seeking access to the physical disability bowling group to be assessed by Carleen Gregory.
It will be necessary for any player requesting assessment to contact Carleen on 0414 838 642, and if assessed as qualifying , they will then be able to play in physical disability events and championships.
Arm Coaching was set up by Bowls Victoria State Arm Bowling Coordinator Phil Gude almost four years ago utilising several State Arm player/coaches and Squad members on a voluntary basis.
“So far we have coached over 2,500 players across Victoria and 200 in New Zealand and I expect we will get up toward 3,000 by season end,” he said.
The Arm Coaches will this year run courses at Preston Reservoir BC, Horsham City BC, Warrnambool City Memorial BC, and San Remo BC.
All dates and details are on the Bowls Victoria Bowlers Arm Tournament and Coaching Schedule.
