Victorians Tiffany Brodie, Josh Barry and Josh Thornton have been honoured with major awards at the 2016 Bowls Australia Awards Night at the Gold Coast.

Tiffany (Fitzroy Victoria) was named Australia’s Under 18 Female Bowler of the Year after a stellar 12 months including two Australian Open titles, two State titles, and selection in the Australian development squad and Victorian senior squad.
Josh Barry (Sebastopol) was named the national Bowler with a Disability of the Year after a 12 months in which he became a dual world champion in singles and pairs at the World Cerebral Palsy Games in England.
Josh Thornton was named Regional Bowls Manager of the year by Bowls Australia for his efforts assisting clubs in north east Victoria.
Bowls Victoria Chief Executive Graeme Bridge extended his congratulations to all winners, especially the three Victorians who have done Victorian bowls proud in a great 12 months.
“It was great to see Bowls Australia highlight disability bowls for the first time in their awards, and Josh Barry winning the award was one of the highlights of the night,” Mr Bridge said.
