Dunolly BC pays a special tribute
Central Victorian bowls club Dunolly has dedicated one of its greens to one of its driving forces and most influential members.
At the club’s official opening of the 2016-17 season, the Keith Mottram Memorial Green was officially dedicated.
Members of the Mottram family, Bowls Victoria President John Fisher, Central Victoria Bowls Region President Ian Bishop and Goldfield Bowls Division President Peter Hooper were among those in attendance.
Keith, who died last year aged 77, spent 38 years as a member at Dunolly, was club president on three separate occasions, played more than 500 Pennant games, and received an RVBA Medal of Merit for services to bowls among his many achievements.
He was also heavily involved at Region and Association level, spending 25 years as a delegate to the Central Victoria Region, and was a Life Member of Club, Region and Association.
Dunolly BC President Bob Henderson spoke of Keith’s achievements, while Mr Fisher rolled the first bowl of the season.
