Vics shine at Awards Night

by Team BV

Some people are just born to win.
Two of them are from right here in Victoria, as Tiffany Brodie and Robyn Larkin both added some more silverware to their already impressive trophy cabinets over the weekend.
The pair were recognised at the Victorian Deaf Community Sport Awards held at the Maurice Rioli Room, at the Richmond Football Club Social Club.
Tiffany (Fitzroy Victoria BC) took out the 2015 Victorian Deaf Youth Achiever of the Year, adding to a number of other accolades in recent times, including the Victorian U25 and U18 State Titles and Deaf Sports Australia Young Rising Star Award for her superb 2015 in elite competition.
Robyn (Ocean Grove BC), took out the 2015 Victorian Deaf Coach of the Year for her role in leading the Australian Deaf Lawn Bowls Women’s team their first overall title in 28 years at the 2015 International Deaf Lawn Bowls Championships. Robyn, was Coach, but also played the roles of Captain and selector of the side, that participated in Belfast, Northern Ireland in September last year.
Congratulations to both ladies on their achievements.
