BV Survey hits a chord with Members

by Team BV

Bowls Victoria is extremely pleased with the record number of replies already received to the short, succinct Member Survey.

More than 2,400 responses have been received in the space of seven days, well in advance of any previous survey. Keep the responses coming in!
BV Chief Executive Graeme Bridge said: “The Survey Responses already received in this very short space of time are generally quite supportive of the opportunity members have been given to comment on the future of Bowls administration.

“There have been many very interesting suggestions submitted in their replies and this survey is following along the same path as the Metropolitan Pennant Survey conducted just shy of two years ago in seeking member input and comments which resulted in the introduction of a number of changes requested by members.”

Bridge also went on to say: “BV will share the survey responses with members when collated as they along with other inputs will help us frame the next strategic plan.

Bridge commented that: “The recent successful Super Sixes twilight competition was created as a result of membership calls to trial a short series and it proved a great success. We are listening and responding and the interest from members at Region Meetings conducted so far has also generated awareness and appeal in this particular format.”

In a final comment to Heads Up, Chief Executive Bridge advised that: “The Bowls Victoria Board has recently been independently assessed regarding its role as administrator of Bowls in Victoria by the Australian Sports Commission and was given a very high mark.

“Emphasis on participation, membership retention and future-proofing our sport are key drivers for your Board and the BV Board believes we need to maintain the development of a fully responsive organisation capable of meeting the challenges of our changing society and value greatly the input of our members in achieving this.”

Closing date for survey submissions is June 3, 2016
