Thorn takes men’s State singles
Both Philip Thorn and Matthew Higgins had one hand on the men’s State singles title at times in an epic final.
But it was Bendigo Campaspe’s Thorn who eventually prevailed by a shot in one of the great finals.

Strzelecki Region’s triples treat
Robyn Dennis, Marilyn Forrest and relative bowls newcomer Nicole McKenzie produced Strzelecki’s first gold medal of 2016 State Champions Week.
The trio overcame Sandbelt to win the State women’s triples championship.
