Benalla Bowls Club and Yooralla – working together
For Benalla Bowls Club, every Thursday has become remarkably rewarding.
Benalla BC is involved with disability provider Yooralla in a program to get people with a disability in that area involved in bowls
Yooralla comes to Benalla Bowls Club every Thursday for an activity program.
Julie White and Gail Lange, and Benalla’s Club President Bob McLarty and Club Secretary Graham Moore are also directly involved in running these programs.
These programs came about after the Benalla officials met Regional Bowls Manager Josh Thornton, Sharelle Thomson from Sports Shepparton and Graeme Brenan from Yooralla.
Each week these people from Yooralla enjoy the get together, plenty of banter and laughs
Benalla BC has also widened its scope to bring in Dr Rogers Special School in Benalla for another Thursday program, showing those involved about the sport and give them the opportunity to enjoy a roll.
