Kevin Sheedy guest at Grand Final Brunch
Four-time AFL premiership coach and three-time premiership winning player Kevin Sheedy will be special guest speaker at the annual Taylor Bowls Premier Division Grand Final Brunch this year.
Sheedy, one of the most interesting people in Australian sport, will take centre stage at the function, to be held at Mulgrave Country Club ahead of the grand final on Sunday, March 20.
Sheedy played for Richmond before embarking on a legendary coaching career at Essendon.
He is now back at Essendon – the club which moved him on at the end of 2007 despite him winning four flags as a coach and leaving an extraordinary legacy.
His thoughts about what he’s found on his return to a club which has endured its darkest period since he left – culminating in doping bans for 34 of its players – should make interesting listening.
Comedian Elliot Goblet will also entertain at the brunch, with media personality Michael Roberts to be Master of Ceremonies.
The brunch runs from 9.15am-12.30pm, to be followed by the Taylor Bowls Premier Division Grand Final between Essendon BC and Melbourne BC to decide the top prize in Bowls Victoria’s Saturday Metropolitan Pennant.
Tickets for the brunch are $38 per head, including brunch, tea, coffee, soft drink and juice.
Tickets for the Taylor Bowls Premier Division Grand Final Brunch are available from Mulgrave Country Club by calling 03 9582 4600 or contact Mulgrave Country Club via their website.
