Keilor gets 2016 National Champion of Champions

by Team BV

Keilor Bowls Club has been appointed as host venue for the 2016 Bowls Australia Champion of Champions to be conducted from October 5 to 7.
Ten Victorian clubs put forward proposals to conduct the event and Keilor BC were the successful applicant.
Bowls Australia’s events and competition manager Mark Casey met with Keilor BC executive secretary Bob Duddington and bowls section president Maureen Sutton this week for an inspection of the facilities.
Casey, a current Australian representative, is a former Keilor BC player himself.
Bowls Victoria thanks the other nine Clubs for providing an expression of interest to host this major event on the Bowls Australia event calendar and wishes Keilor BC all the best with their planning and delivery of what promises to be a great event.
The State and Territory male and female winners of the respective Champion of Champions in singles will contest this event over the three days in October to determine the eventual National Champions.
They will then go on to represent Australia in the World Champion of Champions event to be conducted in November at Helensvale BC on the Gold Coast.
