Important – Round 11 Saturday Metro Pennant
Round 11 Saturday Pennant – 18 December 2015
This notification replaces the previous advice outlined in MC 082/15 and distributed to Metropolitan Clubs on Friday 18 December 2015.
Information provided in respect of points being awarded for Walkovers Only in Round 11 of Metropolitan Saturday Pennant has been revoked.
The Bowls Victoria Metropolitan Pennant Committee wishes to advise that points will be awarded for this round as per the Bowls Victoria Rules for Competition 2015/2016 provisions outlined in Rule 8.4.3.1.
Rule 8.4.3.1 states: if all play for the day is abandoned by the BV Metropolitan Pennant Committee, points will be shared for scheduled matches that day and walkovers resulting from a Side withdrawal will be awarded to their Opponents’ with the allocation of points and shots allowance,
Further to this, there is no requirement for Clubs to submit a Yellow Pennant Check for this round as the abandoned round will not count towards finals qualification.
The online results system will be altered to reflect the awarding of points in all Divisions and will indicate the standings in the competition as of the commencement of Round 12 to be conducted on Saturday 16 January 2016.
