We take arm coaching to regional Victoria

by Team BV

Thirty-five arm players from the Ovens and Murray Region came together to receive coaching from State Arm Squad player/coaches in the first of three Bowls Victoria Arm Coaching days planned for 2015-16.

Player/coaches Barry Atkins, A J Parker, Lee Wesley, Ray Bezett and State Co-ordinator Phil Gude offered new tips and encouragement to those taking part,
Suggested changes to equipment and fun was the theme of the day.
Mr Gude said: ”I am so grateful to our squad players for so freely agreeing to give their time in coaching new and established players.
“These are all people who without an arm device would not be playing bowls and enjoying the social aspects of lawn bowls , the friendships and fun associated with our sport.”
Further bowlers arm coaching days will be held at Yallourn BC on January 17 and Heathmont BC on February 28.
