Dromana BC Bowlers Arm pairs
Last year Dromana’s Bowlers Arm tournament was a wet weather washout.
This year, the pairs event was a great hit with around 50 arm bowlers from all parts of Victoria playing.
Bowls Victoria Arm Bowling Coordinator Phil Gude says: “The numbers gathering consistently at each event averaged around the 40-plus number and we are expecting around 1,000 players will contest these events in season 2015-16, meaning arm bowling is second only to the Vic Open in attracting participation by all levels of bowlers.”
Bowls Victoria Chief Executive Graeme Bridge says: “The real importance of this is the fact that this group of players would not be playing bowls were it not for the fact that there were bowlers arm devices produced by three manufacturers, and approved by Bowls Australia available to keep them in our sport.“
