Social & Corporate Bowls
Social bowls is all about enjoying the game in a relaxed and fun environment with friends. Anyone can play and every bowls club usually has spare bowls and offers lesson for beginners free of charge. All you need is a pair of flat soled (no heels) shoes, runners. Alternatively you can just play in bare feet.
Social bowls can be a social roll-up, barefoot bowls or at a club running a Try Bowls Day. Alternatively you can just try the sport with a bunch of your friends or colleagues, so whether it’s Christmas party, birthday, engagement, bucks party or hens night, if you want to do something cool then get your friends together and get down to your local bowls club.
Visit the club listing page to find out if your local club is one of the hundreds of bowls clubs to offer barefoot bowls.
Once a potential member has received coaching the next step is to join a club and become an affiliated player which then allows them to play in club events; this is required in order to comply with the Bowls Australia Policy as detailed below.
