EMAIL NEWSLETTER FOR JUNIORS

The RVBA Junior Bowls Committee is looking at better ways to keep in touch with the 500 plus registered juniors in Victoria.

We are offering you the chance to subscribe (free of charge) to an RVBA Junior Bowlers Newsletter - sent to subscribers by email. We know many of you are connected to the rest of the world via the internet, so this seems a great way to keep up with what's happening in junior bowls.

The newsletter will have information about juniors at all levels - club, country association, state and national.

The sheet will include notice of club junior tournaments, association programs, RVBA coaching camps, information about grants of money for training as a bowler or umpire, and news about our state sides playing against other interstate junior sides and in the National Junior Championships.

Also included will be short pieces from under 18s, letting you know what they've been doing in their part of the bowling world. Information about our state under 18 championships - singles pairs and triples - will also be included.

Our juniors' coach, Doug Kneebone is willing to answer questions and "famous" coach Frank Gray will give some of his valuable bowling tips.

We'll include web links to places of interest in the bowls world and are hopeful that one of our juniors will run and moderate an email junior bowlers' discussion group.

If you would like to be a subscriber to the free RVBA Junior Bowlers Email Newsletter, send an email message to us at rvba@bowlsvic.org.au.

Just put the words "Junior Newsletter" in the subject space and "subscribe" followed  by your name in the body of the email.

The first edition was sent in October, 2003 and we hope to produce one each month from October to May.

Your email address will only be used to send the newsletter to you. It will not be given to other subscribers.
