Widely regarded as Bowls Victoria’s premier annual event, the Steller Victorian Open is a Bowls Australia Ranked Event and open to bowlers from around the world – including all bowlers affiliated with a State or Territory Association that is affiliated to Bowls Australia, or affiliated to an international body that is a member of World Bowls – with no requirement for pre-qualification. In other words, you’re invited to play!

Aside from the fact playing bowls is always an exciting prospect, the Steller Victorian Open provides a unique opportunity for bowlers of every level to challenge themselves and their fellow competitors in a professional yet welcoming environment. Whether you’re a talented grassroots bowler or a top-grade champion, you can take part in Bowls Victoria’s marquee tournament.
 
Prize money for the 2018 Steller Victorian Open now exceeds $50,000. There are seven prestigious titles up for grabs, while the Vic Medal will be awarded to the best-performed bowler of the tournament.
 
The Vic Medal is awarded to the player who accumulates the most amount points across the event’s four disciplines: Mixed Pairs, Pairs, Singles and Triples. The overall winner is calculated using a points system for the last 16 in each discipline. Along with the prestigious Vic Medal, the winner also claims a prize of $2,000 thanks to the generosity of Shepparton Park Bowls Club.

The Steller Victorian Open will take place at various venues across the Greater Shepparton region between 16 – 23 November 2018. Shepparton Park Bowls Club will be the headquarters, host club, and finals venue for the tournament.
 
The event features Singles, Pairs and Triples for both men and women, as well as a Mixed Pairs competition.
 
Entries for this year’s tournament are currently open, and Bowls Victoria recommends that anyone planning to compete submit their registration form as early as possible. All registrations must be received by 5:00 PM on Wednesday 10 October 2018. Any late entries will be placed on a waiting list. Green fees are included as part of the entry fee.
